These beautifully wide slopes of varying degrees of difficulty are sure to quicken the pulse of all winter sports enthusiasts. Good skiers and snowboarders will appreciate the black slopes of the Klingenstock, while pleasure skiers will love the sunny slopes of the Fronalpstock. Beginners will find easy slopes near the Sternegg and Maggiweid drag lifts. The Frönelis Winterland is perfect for those new to skiing. The two-kilometre sledging run on the Fronalpstock and the separate airboard run are ideal for those who love speed. Just getting there makes an excursion to the Stoos an experience. The Schwyz-Stoos funicular railway has a gradient of 110% (47.7 degrees), making it the steepest in the world! In just a few minutes, it transports visitors from the base station in Schwyz to the heart of the mountain village. For those travelling with children, the sunny mountain village makes an ideal destination offering hotels, holiday apartments and group accommodation in every price range. Child: 6 to 15 years inclusive – Children up to 5 years of age travel free, but require a ticket for the turnstile.
