Accessibility statement
Luzern Vierwaldstättersee Experience GmbH (LUVEX), operator of the e-commerce website www.shop.luzern.com, attaches great importance to making online content accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of physical or technical requirements. We aim to make our website accessible in accordance with the applicable legal requirements for digital accessibility, in particular Directive (EU) 2016/2102, the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) and the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), where applicable. This accessibility statement applies to the entire website www.shop.luzern.com.
Status of compliance with requirements
The website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformity level AA and with the European standard EN 301 549. This means that some of the content is not yet fully accessible.
Non-accessible content
We are constantly striving to improve our content. However, there are currently some areas that are not fully accessible:
1. Non-compliant content (incompatibility with accessibility requirements)
Alternative texts: Some older product images or decorative graphics do not have meaningful alternative texts or none at all. These are being added on an ongoing basis.
Keyboard operability: Not all interactive elements (e.g., drop-down menus, modal dialogs) are fully operable via keyboard.
PDF documents: Embedded PDFs (e.g., terms and conditions, invoice examples) do not fully comply with WCAG criteria in terms of structure, alternative text, and reading order.
Videos without audio description: Some videos on the website do not contain audio description that conveys the visual content to visually impaired users.
Compatibility with assistive technologies: The website is not fully compatible with all assistive technologies, such as various screen readers or special software for motor impairments.
Unadjusted timeouts: There are areas on the website where the time expires after a fixed limit. This can be a problem for people with disabilities who need more time.
Automatic media playback: Some media content on the website plays automatically without the option to stop it.
Moving, flashing, or flickering content: This can be a problem for users with convulsive disorders or photosensitive epilepsy.
Content is not reduced to the essentials: Too much information is visible at once, which can overwhelm users with cognitive disabilities or attention deficits.
Reading order: For some website elements, the reading order for screen readers is not logical or comprehensible.
Contrasts: Individual text or button colors do not provide sufficient contrast, which makes readability difficult for visually impaired people.
Lack of visual differentiation of navigation elements: Elements such as buttons or links are not sufficiently distinguishable from other elements visually.
2. Content for which a disproportionate burden is claimed
Some older media content (e.g., product videos without subtitles or audio descriptions) cannot be adapted at short notice. We always strive to make new content accessible, while older content is gradually being revised.
