«In the footsteps of Alp Sbrinz» – 2-day hike | from Engelberg

Experience the diversity of Alp Sbrinz at the CULINARIUM ALPINUM: a guided tour, Alp Sbrinz tasting, Tavolata, and a two-day hike from Engelberg to Melchsee Frutt, visiting traditional Alp Sbrinz alpine pastures.

At the CULINARIUM ALPINUM, a delightful start awaits you with an Alp Sbrinz tasting and an exciting guided tour of the former Capuchin monastery

In the evening, enjoy a regional Tavolata and spend the night in a historic setting.

The next day, the two-day hike begins: via Gerschnialp, Untertrübsee and Trübsee, the impressive 4-Lakes hike follows the ‘via Sbrinz’ towards Jochpass.

You’ll round off the day at the Bärghuis Jochpass, where you’ll also spend the night.

On the second day, the route continues to Engstlenalp and on towards Tannalp to Melchsee-Frutt. Along the way, you will visit an Alp Sbrinz cheese dairy and experience the natural surroundings, flora and fauna.

The return journey takes you via Stöckalp to Kerns/Sarnen and on to Stans.

Course fees: CHF 790 per person in a double room for single occupancy CHF 720 per person in a double room for double occupancy

Included in the course: At the CULINARIUM ALPINUM: Short guided tour of the monastery including an Alp Sbrinz tasting, ‘Tavolata’ dinner (excl. drinks), overnight stay, breakfast and lunch for the first day of hiking. Also included: overnight stay at the Jochpass including dinner (excluding drinks) and breakfast, as well as lunch on the second day.

Transfers, public transport and cable car are not included.
