Mooraculum Family Pass | Sörenberg

The Mooraculum in Sörenberg promises to be a highlight for families. Located right next to the upper terminus of the Rossweid Sörenberg aerial cableway, a large adventure playground based on the mystical theme of moors and moorland landscapes awaits curious explorers and nimble climbers. Friendly Söppli explains the special features of the precious, mystical moors and, of course, of his friends who inhabit the moor. Having fun is all part of it! Frogs are rescued by diverting water, while oversized wooden figures can be used to organise a concert for the moor dwellers themselves. The climbing garden and a shallow pond, which can be crossed by raft, are also special attractions.

Later, the cheeky subarctic darner Mira accompanies the children on the Sonnentau path. Its 17 interactive stations let visitors experience and learn about aspects of the moor through all their senses. The colourful fens along the path enchant with pretty flowers, including many orchids, and in the blueberry upland bog forest with its gnarled mountain pines, you feel like you’ve been transported to another world.

Family expedition to the mysterious moorland landscape: the Great Moor Circular Path allows families to explore the moor in more depth. Visitors are accompanied by six experts, who have spent their lives here and know all the secrets of the moor: you’ll encounter a wolf, a lynx, a grass frog, swamp shrimps, a subarctic darner (a type of damselfly) and capercaillie at the 17 interactive stations. All tell their own personal stories – via moorland telephone! For true adventurers, there’s an explorer’s pack with personal expedition equipment available from the Rossweid cableway’s lower or upper termini.

The visit ends with the Rischli summer toboggan run. Boasting twelve bends and a length of 900 metres, it meanders through green alp meadows. A lift hauls you back up to the starting point, where you can start all over again!
