The car-free mountain village lies on a high plateau of the same name at the foot of the Fronalpstock. The summit of the local mountain can be reached comfortably by covered chairlift. At the top, a breathtaking panoramic view awaits – of ten lakes, Mount Pilatus, Mount Rigi, Mount Säntis, the high Alps and the Central Plateau all the way to the Jura. Vertically at your feet you can see Brunnen and the Rütli.
The steepest funicular in the world
A technical marvel that already makes the journey an experience. The funicular reaches a gradient of 110% (47.7 degrees), making it the steepest in the world! In just a few minutes, it travels from the valley station in Schwyz right into the mountain village of Stoos. A natural paradise opens up with a wide range of leisure activities.

From the mountain village of Stoos, the chairlifts take you high up to the summit of Fronalpstock. At the top, a breathtaking panoramic view of over ten Swiss lakes and countless Alpine peaks awaits. For children, the large playground and the Geissli petting zoo at the summit offer plenty of fun. The sun terrace of the summit restaurant invites you to linger.

The ridge hike (Gradwanderung) from Klingenstock to Fronalpstock offers a 360 degree panorama. Besides the fascinating view, there is a very diverse alpine flora to look at.

The Gipfel-Erlebnisticket is ideal for pedestrians and for all those who want to do the ridge walk. The ticket allows unlimited travel on all Stoos mountain railroads. These include:
