Closure dates for bus stops

There may be closures or restrictions for coaches at the Schwanenplatz, Kasernenplatz or Löwenplatz bus stops for events or to carry out construction work.

The City of Lucerne endeavours to keep closures as short as possible and appreciates the understanding of bus companies. Please also check again before travelling whether it is possible to get on and off at the desired dates and places.

Schwanenplatz

Schwanenplatz is closed on the following dates, no reservations can be made.

21 June 2025 - Tour de Swiss 7th stage 26 October 2025 - SwissCityMarathon Lucerne

Reservations are possible on the following dates, but there may be restrictions/ closures during the event. Please check the information on site.

14 June 2025 - Feminist Strike Lucerne, from approx. 16:30 to approx. 18:30 21 June 2025 - Tour de Suisse, 15:00 to 17:00 23 August 2025 - Pride Central Switzerland, from 18:00 (Schwanenplatz / Löwenplatz)

Löwenplatz

Löwenplatz is closed on the following dates due to events, no reservations are possible.

No closures currently planned.

Reservations are possible on the following dates, but there may be restrictions/ closures during the event. Please check the information on site.

23 August 2025 - Pride Central Switzerland, from 6 pm (Schwanenplatz / Löwenplatz)

Kasernenplatz

No closures are currently scheduled for Kasernenplatz.
